Another example came when Venom was able to gather up multiple enemies into a tight little ball for Iron Man to wipe out in a "Room Clearing" fusion attack. One example I saw was where Hulk and Wolverine pulled off the classic "fastball special," with the big green guy chucking the rabid Canadian X-man into a helicopter. Discovering and then utilizing these fusion powers will be key to dealing the most damage, as their effects appear far greater than what any one character could dish out individually. There are over 250 fusion combinations in the game, where two characters combine their powers for greater effect. While the original title of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance: Fusion was scrapped, the fusion gameplay dynamic is still a large part of what's new this second time around. In the comics, those who were against registration (the pro civil liberties group) assembled under the banner of Captain America, while those who were willing to make their identities public (many of whom already had highly public identities) began working for Iron Man. Ultimate Alliance 2 is inspired by the Civil War storyline, the game-changing event that split the heroes of the world into two factions: those for and those against a Superhuman Registration Act.
